Gold Sovereign Coin - King George V

George V (George Frederick Ernest Albert; 3 June 1865 – 20 January 1936) was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 6 May 1910 until his death in 1936. George V's reign saw the rise of socialism, communism, fascism, Irish republicanism, and the Indian independence movement, all of which radically changed the political landscape. From November 1905 to March 1906, George and May toured British India, where he was disgusted by racial discrimination and campaigned for greater involvement of Indians in the government of the country.
Dated between 1911 and 1932, the George V Gold Sovereign Coin was minted in the United Kingdom by the Royal Mint and across the commonwealth in Canada, Australia India and South Africa.
